Computer Aided Design and 3D Printing

SNAS Software club is conducting eight-hour training programme on Computer Aided Design. Following topics are expected to cover in the programme.

2D Drafting
3D Modelling
Drafting techniques for ship design
Introduction to 3D printing


The training programme is free and is only for students of Dept. of Ship Technology. The training programme is aimed at equipping students with software skills that will enable them to face industrial world confidently. Special emphasis on 3D modelling of ships is expected to produce innovative designs and models from Model Making Workshops during course curriculum. The classes are led by student members of SNAS who have undergone similar training and certification.

Thank you for sharing the knowledge on cad training. I found this information very informative. The CAD design and drafting services are the processes of developing drawings and schematics in software. Compared to drafting using paper and a pencil, our services have boosted design productivity and reduced time consecutively.

Congratulations to the winners of the SNAS IPL FEVER 2021!!! The SNAS Sports Club's Inauguration & IPL FEVER 2021 prize distribution ceremony was conducted on May 16th (Sunday). WEBINAR - "Design of Underwater Vehicles"

  SNAS conducted the 9th episode of the Webinar Series on the topic "Design of Underwater Vehicles" on 20th of October, 2021. The Webinar was taken by Cmde PHM Salih (Retd.) , (3rd Batch Alumnus of DoST), Head Submarine Design, L&T Defence and Aerospace. The interactive session dealt with Submarine Designing and various parameters to be considered in designing an Underwater Vehicle. An elaborate QnA session was held after the presentation, clarifying the doubts of the audience on various insights shared during the webinar.
